Storm Water Detention
Any development, renovation or addition to an existing development within the city must detain the storm water runoff from the improvement on-site in accordance with
City Ordinance §644. This requirement excludes properties in the Central Business District Zones and properties used for one- and two-family residential purposes. Properties that are less than 6,100 square feet in area do not require storm water detention, but may have to file a lien for future storm water detention with the city.
Once the site plan is approved by the engineering division, the applications for a
Right-of-Way Permit and/or
Private Property Paving Permit may be submitted to the Engineering Division, and any applications for building permits may also be submitted. The Engineering Site Plan Review rates are listed on the
fee schedule which is updated annually.
