What More Could a Teenager Ask For?

Posted on January 11, 2021 at 7:06 PM by Judy Davids

I grew up in Royal Oak. Went to Longfellow, Barton, Dondero “65”. I was the first girl to have a tribune route. I worked at Romeyn's and then for Dr. Eggleston for 29 years.

I live on Crane between Main and Washington. My parents lived there until 1987.

It's a wonderful neighborhood. I have great friends and classmates I still see.

My dad had an office in the Washington square building for Blanchard Insurance. I would meet him in Sanders after school so I could have his seat when he was done with his Sunday, and he’d pay for mine.

Theaters, small shops, Sanders hot fudge, the ”Pole," Woodward, what more could a teenager ask for?
