    The major goals of the Royal Oak Nature Society are to protect, promote, maintain and improve Royal Oak’s two nature preserves (Cummingston Park & Tenhave Woods) and to develop a special arboretum/wildflower garden located behind the Royal Oak Senior Center. In order to do all of this, the Nature Society is putting on their 12th Annual Soiree/Fundraiser on Friday, April 28 at the Royal Oak Elks Club.

  3. Drug Take Back Day

    Royal Oak Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) will hold Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 29, 2017 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Oak Police Station 221 E. Third St. The event gives the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Drug Take Back Day is open to all citizens, not exclusively Royal Oak residents. This event is a reminder that the drug discard bin at the Royal Oak Police Department is available for discarding unused and expired medications 7 days a week/24 hours a day/365 days a year.

    The Nature Society's 12th Annual Soiree/Fundraiser is being held on Friday, April 28, 2017 at the Royal Oak Elks Club beginning at 7 pm. Tickets are only $10/person. There will be light refreshments & cash bar. Activities include a Silent & Live Auction with a large variety of interesting items to bid on, a 50/50 raffle, and an awards presentation. We will be looking for Red & White Trillium, blue & yellow violets, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Bloodroot, Trout Lily, Wild Geranium, Spice Bush, Spring Beauty, Wood Poppy, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, & Wood Anemone and more. There is no pre registration or cost for this walk.
