[ARCHIVED] The Future Begins!

City Hall

Plans are underway for the City of Royal Oak to begin moving into our new City Hall on August 11.

A modern chamber for commission meetings, a large waiting area for visitors, multiple conference rooms and kiosks will meet our visitors needs today and into the future.  All service counters in the new building will be centrally located in a customer-friendly area on the first floor, making the new City Hall much easier for visitors to navigate.

The design approach for the new building:

  • Prioritizes the accessibility experience, making circulation easier for those using wheelchairs or strollers in the building.
  • Targets energy efficiency standards that will save money and help protect the planet.
  • Features technology that will give the new City Hall a modern twist. Visitors will be able to fill out online applications at conveniently located user-friendly kiosks.
  • Offers more (and larger) rooms for staff and committee meetings.

Come and Visit Us Soon!

City Hall employees are excited about our move and ask for your patience during this time. We can’t wait for you to visit us in our new home!
