I-75 Freeway & Bridge Work


The following locations are closed this summer for reconstruction as part of the freeway project:

  • 12 Mile Road is closed at I-75
The Lincoln Avenue and Gardenia bridges have now been reopened to traffic!

CAP2109 S Main Street and E Lincoln Avenue Resurfacing

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries, Inc.


S. Main Street - Lincoln to 11 Mile
E. Lincoln Avenue - Knowles to Campbell


The contractor finished installing small plantings and mulch in the islands last week as well as painting the crosswalk "piano keys". This week the contractor will be working on installing the new road signage and painting some curbing yellow at various locations where required. The final restoration will be the installation of new tree plantings on Main Street later in September when the weather cools.

CAP2215 Asphalt Resurfacing

Contractor: Hutch Paving, Inc.


LANDSCAPE/LAWN RESTORATION: Lawn restoration is being delayed until end of August for more favorable temperatures for seeding.

Phase 1

Landscape restoration that didn't take or has not been completed will be delayed until Labor Day for more favorable weather.

Phase 2
For Delemere, the contractor plans to install the new bumper blocks and finish up some yellow curb painting where required.

Phase 3
Troy, University, Fairgrove, Pingree and Alexander - Final layer of asphalt was paved last week. This week the contractor will be working on installing the pavement markings back on Troy Street.


Amelia - The contractor is putting down the first layer of asphalt on the block between Blair and Campbell today. Later in the week the contractor will plan to place the final layer of asphalt for both blocks, from Rochester to Campbell.

Connecticut - The gas company is working on replacing sidewalks that were removed or damaged from the gas infrastructure work on this street. The city's contractor plans to mill the existing roadway towards the end of the week.

Temporary 'No Parking' signs will be placed where room for construction equipment is needed.

CAP2110 Northwood Viaduct Pavement Replacement

Contractor: FDM Contracting, Inc.


The contractor is continuing work on road restoration this week. Half of the pavement areas were poured and are curing. Once strengthened the contractor will pour the other half of the sections.

NORTHWOOD ROAD CLOSURE: Northwood will be completely closed to traffic at the viaduct. The closure will remain in place for several weeks while crews perform construction work. "Road Closed Ahead" signs will be placed along Northwood beginning at Woodward Ave to the west and Crooks Road to the east. However, residents may still see cut-thru traffic in their neighborhood due to the closure.

CAP2205 Concrete Street Repairs

Contractor: Audia Concrete Construction, Inc.


Each street will have repairs done in halves, to maintain access for residents throughout construction. Temporary 'No Parking' signs will be placed where room for equipment is needed.

The contractor is finishing up work between 11 Mile and Catalpa. Work is continuing on second halves on the streets between Catalpa and 12 Mile. The contractor has also started removing the first halves on some of the blocks north of 12 Mile.
