Session 1 (6:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.) at ROPD Community Room:

Chief Michael Moore and his team will unveil new initiatives like the Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), Co-Responder Program, and Quick Response Team (QRT), all aimed at aiding those in mental health crises or battling substance use disorders. Plus, get an exclusive tour of the police headquarters with a Q&A session.

Session 2 (7:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m.) at 44th District Court Building:

Judges Derek Meinecke and Andrew Kowalkowski will delve into the court's efforts in educating our youth through Justice 101 and Teen Court initiatives. Discover the impactful Operation Drive program assisting individuals to regain legal driving privileges, along with insights into Sobriety Court, a vital drug and alcohol recovery program. Bring your questions for a stimulating Q&A session!

Parade marches down Main Street

Memorial Day Parade Application

The date is approaching quickly for the Royal Oak Memorial Day Parade -- one of the most prestigious parades held in Michigan.

The parade will step off on May 27 at 9:00 a.m. sharp on Main Street at Lincoln and proceed north to Centennial Commons. A ceremony immediately follows the end of the parade at the Veterans War Memorial.

Groups looking to be in the parade must fill out this year's parade application.
