Royal Oak Pride is this Weekend

Celebrate PRIDE in Downtown Royal Oak this weekend; July 26 from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and July 27 from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.  Enjoy top-notch entertainment and activities for all ages at our new location near Centennial Commons and the Royal Oak Farmers Market. Convenient parking is available at the 11 Mile Parking Garage (110 E 11 Mile), right next to the main entry gate. Don't miss out!

Volunteer for Pride

Volunteers are still needed for Royal Oak Pride. This event is not possible without volunteers and those who devote their service to making the event a smashing success.

Make your Plan to Vote

Early voting starts on Saturday, July 27! You can vote at:

  •  M/M Senior Center, 3500 Marais, Royal Oak, Room 6
  •  Waterford Oaks Activity Center, 2800 Watkins Lake Rd, Waterford

 Early voting hours at the above locations are 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. every day until Sunday, August 4. On Thursday, August 1, hours are noon to 8 p.m.

Other important dates to remember:

Friday, August 2 @ 5 p.m.: Deadline for voters who have lost their absentee ballot or not yet received their ballot in the mail to submit a written request to spoil their absent voter ballot and receive a new absent voter ballot by mail.

Saturday, August 3: City Clerk's office is open from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 pm to give out absentee ballots.

Monday, August 5: Last day to ask for an absentee ballot in-person at the City Clerk's office.

Tuesday, August 6: Election Day! Polls open are from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m. Mail-in ballots must be returned by 8 p.m. to be counted. Early voting results will be counted at 8 p.m. at City Hall.

The City Clerk’s office is located on the first floor of City Hall at 203 S Troy St. 

City Hall is open Monday-Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. Questions? Call 248-246-3050.

Compost Dropoff

Due to Royal Oak Pride, the Royal Oak Sustainability Booth with compost drop-off will be located outside on the EAST porch instead of the west porch right by the entrance. There is still free parking for the farmers market, but the west lot is closed for the event. Please plan accordingly.
