SNOW EMERGENCY UPDATE: FEB 12, 7 PM
The City of Royal Oak has declared a Snow Emergency starting Thursday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m.
PLOWING SCHEDULE
- Major Roads: Crews have been plowed and salted.
- Residential Streets: Plowing starts Thursday at 10 a.m., beginning in the southeast corner of the city and moving north.
NO ON-STREET PARKING: Once the Snow Emergency begins Thursday at 10 a.m., vehicles left on the street may be ticketed.
Once the plows have been through your neighborhood it is OK to resume parking on your street again.
On-street parking in Downtown Royal Oak has been cleared and salted. It is OK to park in the Central Business District.
ALTERNATIVE PARKING OPTIONS: If you need off-street parking, you may use the following public lots:
- Grant Park Lot (800 block of Fourth St.)
- Starr Jaycee Park Lot (1321 W. 13 Mile Rd.)
Crews will work to keep these lots clear, but there are no guarantees. Bring a shovel in case you need it!
TRASH/RECYCLING collection will continue as scheduled despite the snow emergency. Please set your bins out on your regular collection day, but keep them off the street so plows can get through!
