2025 Construction Projects

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project.

CAP2507 N. Main Street and Coolidge Highway Resurfacing

N. Main Street from 13 Mile Road to north city limits

This project is tentatively scheduled to begin on N. Main Street the week of June 9th. For Phase 1 of the project, the contractor will shift traffic to the west side of the roadway so they can begin concrete work along the curb line of the east side of the road. One lane will be open in each direction for traffic.

Coolidge Highway from 14 Mile Road to north city limits

Work on Coolidge Highway is tentatively scheduled to begin in July after the holiday weekend.

CAP2509 13 Mile Road Resurfacing

13 Mile Road from Woodward Avenue to Crooks Road

The contractor has shifted traffic to the outside lanes. This week they will be milling off the old pavement and wedging ramps at the intersections.

This work is scheduled to be completed by the end of July, in advance of Dream Cruise weekend.

CAP2514 Downtown Resurfacing

The city will be resurfacing Williams Street from E Seventh to E Third and W Sixth Street from S Washington to S Center this Spring. The contractor will also be installing ADA parking spaces and ramps on W Second Street adjacent to the post office.

This project is now substantially complete. The contractor will continue working on landscape and final restoration this week.

CAP2535 Road Reconstruction

Ravena Avenue - Chester Road to Dead End

Hillside Drive - Hillside Court and Yorba Linda Boulevard

On Ravena, the contractor will be working on landscape restoration.

On Hillside, the contractor will finish the remaining concrete work and continue restoration.

Benjamin Traffic Circles

The city's contractor will be pouring the colored concrete for the inside of the traffic circles. Once complete they will work on restoration.

Any residents whose driveway access will be affected will receive a door hanger notice the day beforehand so they can move their vehicles.

2025 Sidewalk Program

The contractor is continuing work in the Phase 1 section. They will be working east to west between 13 Mile and Normandy. Crews will be saw-cutting and removing sidewalk squares, and pouring new cement.

If driveway access will be affected, residents will receive a door hanger notice the day beforehand.

Schedule:

  • Phase 1: Working east to west between 13 Mile Road and Normandy Road
  • Phase 2: Working west to east between Normandy Road and 14 Mile Road
  • Phase 3: Working west to east between 14 Mile and north city limits.

Greenfield Road Resurfacing

The Road Commission for Oakland County plans to resurface Greenfield Road between 12 Mile Road and 13 Mile Road.

The city has been notified that construction is scheduled to begin the week of June 2nd.

Residents can visit the RCOC website for more information on the project.

As construction work begins,

projects will be added to the weekly update.
