Construction Project Updates

Residents on affected streets will be mailed construction notices in the Spring, prior to work beginning, with detailed information on the project.

The city realizes construction will be an inconvenience and all efforts to expedite the work will be utilized to minimize traffic conflicts and access to various properties abutting the project. If you have questions you can contact the Engineering Division at 248.246.3260.

CAP1908/09 14 Mile Road Resurfacing Improvements

Greenfield Road to Crooks Road

SOCWA Contractor: Verdeterre Contracting, Inc.

City Contractor: Pamar Enterprises, Inc

This project includes work in conjunction with the South Oakland County Water Authority, Michigan Department of Transportation and the Road Commission for Oakland County.

14 Mile Road will be under construction for most of the 2019 construction season, with traffic often limited to one lane in each direction. Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes during construction, especially during rush hour. For more information regarding the complete scope of the project, visit: www.romi.gov/14Mile

The week of May 6th, the city's contractor will continue working installing water main along the south side of 14 Mile Road, primarily near Cooper Avenue, Mankato Avenue & Coolidge Highway.

SOCWA's contractor will tie-in their newly installed water main to the existing system and continue working on grading and pavement restoration.

CAP1935 Road Reconstruction Improvements

Contractor: FDM Contracting Inc.

The city's contractor will continue doing utility work on W. Houstonia Avenue the week of May 6th, work on water main connections and services on Massoit Road and continue pavement removals on Fernlee Avenue.

CAP1905 Concrete Pavement Repairs

Contractor: Galui Construction Inc.

The contractor plans to continue saw-cutting the week of May 6th on the project streets. Pavement removals are tentatively scheduled to begin towards the end of May.

CAP1915 Asphalt Resurfacing

Contractor: AJAX Paving Industries Inc

The contractor plans to complete tree removal clean-up the week of May 6th and to continue saw-cutting the Phase 1 project streets.

CAP1910 Water Main Improvements

Contractor: FDM Contracting Inc.

Water main installation will continue on Albert Avenue the week of May 6th. Testing of the new water mains on Judson Avenue and Rockingham Road will continue.

CAP1806 S. Campbell Road Resurfacing

10 Mile Road to 11 Mile Road

Contractor: Iafrate Construction Company

The week of May 6th, the contractor will continue with the remaining work on S. Campbell Road. The contractor tentatively plans to install the permanent road striping, and begin lawn restoration.
