Mayor Fournier was first elected to the Royal Oak city commission in 2011 and has been serving as Mayor since 2016. Prior to being elected to the commission, Mayor Fournier served as a Trustee for the Royal Oak Public Library and was a member of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board. Mayor Fournier has focused his leadership on making Royal Oak among one of the safest and most desirable places to live in America.
Mr. Fournier holds a B.A. from Michigan State University and an M.B.A. from The University of Notre Dame. He has spent most of his professional career in financial and business development roles. He is currently employed in the auto industry where he focuses on innovative and connected mobility solutions. Mayor Fournier lives in south Royal Oak with his wife Nicole and three children.
