    Royal Oak Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) will hold Drug Take Back Day Saturday, April 29, 2017 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Royal Oak Police Station 221 E. Third St. The event gives the public the opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. Drug Take Back Day is open to all citizens, not exclusively Royal Oak residents. This event is a reminder that the drug discard bin at the Royal Oak Police Department is available for discarding unused and expired medications 7 days a week/24 hours a day/365 days a year.

    “Spring Wildflower Walk” is being held on Saturday, April 29th, 2017 beginning 2:00 pm at Tenhave Woods. Park at Lexington/Marais lot & meet at Lexington entrance. We will be looking for Red & White Trillium, blue & yellow violets, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, Bloodroot, Trout Lily, Wild Geranium, Spice Bush, Spring Beauty, Wood Poppy, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, & Wood Anemone and more. There is no pre registration or cost for this walk.
