Parking Structures

Royal Oak offers four structures with easy access to local shops, restaurants, and events. Visitors enjoy 2 hours of free parking in the structures Monday through Saturday, with no charge on Sundays.

For those planning to stay in Royal Oak for an extended period, garages are the best choice, offering flexible rates and longer time limits than on-street or surface-lot parking.

Rates and Hours of Operation

  • Monday - Saturday: The first two hours are free. $0.75 an hour thereafter.
  • Sunday: Free

The parking structures accept credit/debit cards and cash/coins at pay stations located on the first floor. Parking can be purchased at a pay station after you park. You can also pay by credit or debit card when you exit.

Surface-Lot Parking

Royal Oak’s downtown surface parking lots provide convenient, short-term parking options for visitors. These lots have a 4-hour maximum stay and offer affordable rates.

To use a pay station, press start, follow the prompts, and complete payment with a card or coins. Once your session is confirmed, you're all set — there’s no need to return to your vehicle.
